Bandel, W. - Root Cellar
This cellar is located under an out building directly to the southwest of a large two story stone house that has been vacant for some time. The property is full of other buildings including a large mixed wood/stone barn and another smaller barn. All of these structures are likely to collapse soon. The building above the cave has mostly collapsed and the cave itself shows signs of weakening. The site would have been quite something in its prime. The cellar might have served as a smoke house or a place to age cheese judging by it double vents hooks and single door. The cave opens to the southeast via a side entrance and measures 12’(L)x13’(W)x7’(H).
