Brannick, John - Root Cellar
This arched cave is built into entirely flat ground, without any mound above it. It has a long staircase descending into it from the south. A wood frame house is located a short distance to the south of the cave and a large wood frame barn is a little further to the southeast. The cave was reported to have been used as a root cellar by the current owner but they used it as a storm shelter. The structure is created from very refined cut and jointed stone. It measures 15’(L)x7’(W)x 7’(H).
