Boller, James - Root Cellar
This arched cave is built into the hillside to the southwest of a number of stone buildings although none that stand were clearly the main house. There is also a cave of some sort built to the west of this structure into the ground but this site was unable to be investigated. The photographed cave is laid up with very large cut stone with a double entrance that’s exterior is quite elaborate and well made. Cleary the work of a very skilled mason. The same could be said for the other stone buildings that still stand on the property including a large mixed stone and wood barn. The cave walks out to the west and measures 16’(L)x9’(W)x 7.5’(H).
